WELCOME CONSIGNORS!
Consignment Hours
- First visit, by appointment. We reserve morning hours most Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays for new consignor appointments. Please call to make arrangements. We want to allow plenty of time to get acquainted and answer all your questions.
- Subsequent to the initial visit, you may drop off items Monday-Saturday at your convenience up to one hour before the store closes. We ask that you stay long enough for us to make a preliminary inspection of each piece, and remember that these dropped-off items are placed in a cue to be priced as soon as possible. It is helpful (but not required) if you will include a list of the prices you originally paid for each item.
What We Consign
- Women’s current styles sizes 0-24, in season, purchased within the last year (two years at most), in mint condition, clean, pressed and on hangers. Preference is given to top designers and most sought after labels. We also consider fashions from better department stores and boutiques. In addition to clothing, we consign handbags, shoes, jewelry, and other fashion accessories.
- Vintage styles of good quality and condition deemed by our staff to be marketable to our clients.
- We will look at up to 20 items per consignor per visit. There is no lower limit.
How We Price
- We are happy to work with you on the pricing of your items. Generally 25-40% of the original retail price is a good place to start, but there are many factors involved in setting a price.
- You will receive a numbered Item Report that indicates the agreed upon starting price of each item placed on consignment. For dropped-off items, the Item Report is mailed to you.
How We Pay
- We will pay you 40% of the final sales price for items originally priced less than $200.
We will pay you 50% of the final sales price for items originally priced over $200.
- You may elect to take In-Store Credit in lieu of direct payment, in which case you will earn 50% of the sales price of all your items, regardless of their price.
- Checks are prepared and mailed by the 15th of each month for all that sold in the previous month, unless you would net less than $15, in which case your money stays on account until the following month or until you pick it up in cash.
- An administrative fee of $1.50 is deducted only in the months payments are made to you.
Length of Consignment
We will keep your items for two to three months. We may extend the consignment period for certain expired items if we believe there is a good chance they will sell at half-price.
IMPORTANT—If there are unsold items at the end and you want them back, you MUST CONTACT US on or before the “Call By” date indicated on each Item Report. If we have not heard from you by the time we remove expired items from the floor, your items will be subject to an additional price reduction and eventual donation to a local charitable organization.
